Long Description
Silver-medal winner at the 2018 Canadian International Beer Awards for Best Friday Cask. This oatmeal stout is based on a long-standing recipe that Gerad brought with him from his home-brewing days. Not too bitter, not too sweet. Perfectly balanced and standing on a complex base of character malts, including a small portion of our signature in-house-smoked oats. This stout has notes of coffee, caramel, and dark chocolate with background, subtle smoke character.
Ingredients
Flaked oats smoked in-house using Clifford the big red smoker. Amber Malt from Origin Malting (Strathmore, AB). Chocolate Malt from Red Shed (Penhold, AB)
