Flavourful but easy drinking, our Kölsch-style ale is clean and crisp with a slightly sweet grainy flavour and a dry finish. Based on the German pilsner style, but fermented with ale yeast and lagered for several weeks, this beer has a pleasant, soft and surprisingly refreshing flavour profile that makes it stand tall beside its lager brethren. We are also proud to announce that this is our first beer brewed with Canadian yeast from Escarpment Laboratories, out of Guelph, Ontario. Tasting Notes Appearance: Bright yellow, slight haze with a foamy white head. Aroma: Slightly sweet, grainy, cereal, subtle spicy hop character. Flavour: Grainy/husky with a bready finish. Sweet at first, finishes with enough bitterness to balance well. Mouthfeel: Light bodied, highly carbonated. Notable Ingredients Hops: Czech Saaz (traditional hop of Czech Pilsner) Malts: German pilsner malt base with Canadian wheat and specialty malts.
